Part Timer Elementary/Middle School Teacher

Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach 6-12 week 55 minute long classes for 3rd-5th graders and/or 5th-8th graders in math, social studies, science, civics, and language arts.

- Classes would include engaging instruction in the form of discussion, direct teaching, demonstrations and independent practice .

- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students.
- Utilize various teaching methods and techniques to accommodate different learning styles.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and administrators.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
- Manage classroom behavior and promote a positive classroom culture.

- Posting weekly class updates and homework for students and parents.

Experience:
- Previous experience working with elementary and or middle school students, preferably in a teaching setting.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of early intervention strategies to support students with diverse learning needs.
- Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning to meet educational objectives.
- Ability to provide tutoring or additional support to students who may require extra assistance.
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques to create a positive classroom environment.
