Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Parts Acquisition Specialist to support our trucking division. This role is responsible for sourcing, ordering, picking up, and delivering parts needed to keep our fleet operational. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates effectively, and can move quickly in a fast-paced environment where minimizing downtime is critical.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and acquire parts for trucks, trailers, and equipment based on shop and maintenance needs
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure correct parts, pricing, and availability
  • Pick up and deliver parts to the appropriate shop personnel or job sites in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and track parts usage
  • Assist with organizing and managing the parts inventory system
  • Communicate regularly with mechanics, supervisors, and vendors regarding part status and needs
  • Make phone calls and send emails to vendors for quotes, availability, and order updates
  • Verify parts upon receipt to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Keep records of purchases, receipts, and inventory updates
  • Support urgent and last-minute part requests to minimize equipment downtime

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in parts, inventory, logistics, or a related field preferred
  • Knowledge of trucking, heavy equipment, or mechanical parts is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills (phone, email, and in-person)
  • Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, inventory systems)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
