Position: Parts Associate – Full Time
Department: Track and Tire Leasing, Mechanic Shop
Job Summary: The Parts Associate is responsible for charging parts, assuring inventory count is accurate, and tracking warranty parts as well as assisting the Shop Manager with their daily activities. They are to maintain and monitor all parts, equipment, and supplies issued to employees. The Parts Associate is under direct supervision of the Shop Manager. This is a physically demanding position and will stand for most of the shift.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists Shop Manager with their daily duties.
- Ensures all inventory count is accurate and kept organized
- Analyzes inventory flow to maintain accurate levels of inventory
- Keeps track of all warranty parts
- Maintains parts database by inputting additions, deletions and corrections
- Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery or pick-up
- Assists in deliveries/pickups when needed
- Purchases fleet parts, tools, and related warehouse items
- Reviews order requests made by other employees and discusses any specifications
- Follows all policies and procedures of the Fleet Shop
- Performs any other duties assigned by the Shop Manager
Qualifications & Abilities:
- Previous Automotive Parts experience a plus
- Diligent attention to detail and safety
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
- Ability to read and comprehend different instructions and information effectively
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication with supervisors and coworkers
- Working conditions sometimes include both high heat and cold temperatures
- May be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, paint, etc.
- PHYSICALLY DEMANDING - Must have the physical ability and mobility to work in a mechanic shop. Will walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time; frequently bend, climb, reach, and twist; lift up to 50 pounds, and operate assigned equipment and vehicles.
Benefits:
- Starting pay is $18-$25/hr
