Parts Associate, Heavy Construction Equipment

Job Summary

Family owned and operated business for 70+ years is currently seeking a Parts Associate to provide professional, knowledgeable and friendly customer service to join our team.

Essential Functions

1. Receiving and filling telephone orders and in-person for our customers

2. Supports the sales and service departments by ordering requested parts

3. Operates software system to research and locate parts

4. Process all reman cores for credit return including all paperwork

5. Prepares annual/quarterly/monthly vendor returns for shipment

6. Safely and efficiently operate forklift. Maintain yearly certification

Competencies

1. Proficient with Microsoft systems , including Word, Excel, and Outlook

2. Heavy equipment industry parts knowledge and experience preferred.

3. Excellent communication skills.

4. Works well in a fast-paced, demanding team environment

5. Able to work independently with a strict attention to detail

6. Must be able to read and understand parts manuals

Required Education and Experience

The following requirements are job-related and consistent with business necessity.

1. High school diploma or GED

2. Valid Class C driver’s license with no points or restrictions

3. One-to-two years’ parts department experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
