Parts Delivery & Counter Associate

General Description:

The Parts Delivery & Counter Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service at the sales counter while safely and efficiently delivering automotive parts to customers. This role combines in-store support with delivery duties and plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory, timely order fulfillment and positive customer relationships.

Job Responsibilities:

Counter & Customer Service

• Assist customers at the counter by identifying, locating and selling automotive parts and supplies
• Answer phones and respond to customer inquiries regarding pricing, availability and product information
• Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system
• Provide product recommendations and upsell when appropriate
• Handle returns, warranties and exchanges according to company policy

Delivery Duties

• Safely deliver automotive parts to commercial and retail customers in a timely manner
• Load, unload and verify delivery orders for accuracy
• Collect signatures and maintain delivery documentation as required
• Maintain a clean driving record and follow all traffic and safety regulations

Store & Inventory Support

• Receive, stock and organize inventory
• Pull and stage orders for delivery or customer pickup
• Assist with inventory counts and restocking shelves
• Help maintain a clean, organized and professional store and warehouse environment
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Basic computer and POS system skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Automotive parts knowledge preferred (training provided if not)
• Combination of in-store counter work, warehouse work and driving
• May include weekends, early mornings and occasional overtime
• Fast-paced retail and warehouse environment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time during scheduled shifts
• Ability to frequently bend, kneel, reach and twist while performing job duties
• Ability to lift, carry, push and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accomodation
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle for deliveries and sit for extended periods while driving
• Ability to climb stairs and use step stools or ladders as needed
• Manual dexterity required to handle small parts, operate hand-held devices, and use point-of-sale system
• Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to heat, cold and weather conditions during deliveries
• Visual and auditory ability to read labels, computer screens and respond to customers and traffic conditions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
