Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Parts Department Manager to oversee the daily operations of our parts department at Wyatt Chevy GMC of Whitehall. This role is vital in ensuring efficient inventory management, supplier relations, and seamless integration with our automotive and manufacturing services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of supply chain processes, and a background in automotive or warehouse management. The Parts Department Manager will play a key role in optimizing procurement, inventory control, and customer service to support our dealership or service center operations.

Duties

  • Manage all aspects of the parts department including inventory control, order processing, and shipping & receiving.
  • Oversee procurement management, sourcing, and negotiation with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
  • Utilize RIM systems, order management systems.
  • Coordinate with automotive diagnostics, OEM parts sourcing, and automotive repair teams to meet service requirements.
  • Supervise warehouse operations including forklift operation and equipment repair to maintain safety and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement demand planning strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce excess inventory.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality parts.
  • Monitor pricing strategies and manage procurement processes aligned with company policies.
  • Lead customer service initiatives by ensuring accurate order management and timely response to client inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to warehouse experience and logistics operations.
  • Train and supervise staff on inventory management procedures, data entry accuracy, and equipment use.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of supply chain management, procurement management, and sourcing strategies.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, inventory management software, CMMS, AS400, and order management systems.
  • Strong negotiation skills with suppliers and vendors.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to automotive diagnostics, auto body repair, HVAC systems, equipment repair, and automotive service.
  • Warehouse experience including shipping & receiving procedures and forklift operation certification.
  • Familiarity with dealership operations, OEM parts sourcing, demand planning, pricing strategies, and logistics coordination.
  • Excellent data entry skills combined with attention to detail for inventory control accuracy.
  • Customer service orientation with effective communication skills for team leadership and supplier negotiations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment while maintaining compliance with safety standards. Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
