About the Position

Purpose
The Parts Help role assists the Parts Department with inventory organization, order preparation, and general operational support. This position focuses on non-hazardous, low-risk tasks that support parts accuracy, availability, and workflow efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Assist with inventory management, including counting, organizing, labeling, and conducting routine inventory checks
- Pull parts for customer invoices, work orders, and Expert Connect tickets, including returning parts as needed
- Sort and process returned parts, ensuring items are placed in correct bins and locations in accordance with company procedures
- Review and support management of aged inventory to ensure proper organization, accuracy, and movement
- Assist with parts transfers between locations, including tracking and documentation
- Perform data entry and system updates related to inventory and parts activity
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parts warehouse and storage areas
- Provide general support at the parts counter, including basic customer or internal assistance as directed
- Assist with light stocking of parts in designated non-hazardous areas (no forklift operation, banding, or hydraulic hose assembly; tasks assigned based on associate eligibility/age)
- Support weekend coverage, including working up to two Saturdays per month (approximately 5 hours per shift) during peak/in-season periods, with schedule determined by the Parts Manager
- Perform other duties as assigned
Work Environment & Safety Requirements
- This position is limited to non-hazardous duties and environments in compliance with applicable child labor laws
- Work is performed primarily in designated parts and storage areas
- No operation of power-driven equipment (e.g., forklifts or motorized machinery)
- No work performed in active service bays or repair areas
- Tasks must be performed under appropriate supervision and within defined work areas
Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a structured environment
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Basic computer/data entry skills preferred
- Ability to lift and move light to moderate parts (within safe limits)
- Dependable and able to work scheduled hours, including occasional weekends
