The Parts Clerk provides daily support to the Service Department by ensuring accurate and timely inventory is available. Provides the highest level of external and internal customer satisfaction while maximizing the return on investment through parts sales, inventory control, and expense control. This position also optimize parts department processes, as well as effectively engage department personnel to accomplish all the goals of the department.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides customer service both in-person and over the phone to existing and potential customers.
Promotes and merchandises parts and accessories.
Maintains an accurate and effective parts inventory control system proper counting procedures including an annual physical count.
Receiving deliveries and inspect shipments to ensure correct order fulfillment.
Submits all parts warranty and return claims within the required time frame to receive maximum credit.
Prepare sales slips or sales contracts.
Maximizes the use of all order discount programs and works to achieve the best price buying opportunities.
Work collaboratively with the Service Department, offering necessary support and information about needed parts, delivery schedules and cost.
1+ years’ experience in Parts Department operations.
Ability to use standard computer and internet functions.
Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups.
Basic understanding of financial principles relative to Parts Department operations.
Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports.
Ability to work extended hours if necessary to attain company goals.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to effectively lead and work as a team member.
High School diploma or equivalent.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and mobile devices. The noise level in the office can be loud.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role. The employee will sit and or stand a majority of their shift, view computer screens, paperwork and filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open cabinets bending or standing, stoop, and pull, or kneel as necessary. The employee must occasionally pull, lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
