Parts Manager Needed for Franchise Car Dealership

Job Description

A Northwood Chevrolet Hyundai Parts Manager must be a self driven, hardworking individual. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in the ability to work efficiently and effectively, to ensure the performance of the Parts Department as a whole. To be successful as a parts manager you must be highly organized. A good parts manager anticipates the needs of technicians and ensures that all materials needed for repairs are provided.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Forecasting parts needs and ordering parts to maintain optimal inventory levels

• Monitoring the current parts inventory

• Pricing parts to maintain profitability

• Receiving parts, including placing them into inventory and properly labeling them

• Helping customers find and purchase the correct parts, sales and customer service skills a must

• Overseeing special orders

• Collaborating with service managers to ensure all parts are available for repair jobs

• Hiring, supervising and training parts department staff members

• Ability to bend, move, lift and physically perform duties in the scope of this position

Qualifications or Requirements

• Experience as a Parts Consultant a must and will be taken into consideration during interviews

• A valid driver's license

• High school diploma

• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills

• Problem-solving skills to deal with parts inventory issues

• Previous mechanic or car sales experience

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes loud environment

• Leadership skills to keep the parts department running smoothly

• Product knowledge to ensure they identify parts correctly and recommend the needed parts

• Computer skills a must

• Multi-Lingual not necessary but a definite plus

Pay Plans

We offer several different pay plan options:

• Hourly + incentive plan

• Flat-rate pay with hourly guarantee

• Get paid for every hour worked +++++
