Job Overview
The Industrial Asset & Parts Room Lead is responsible for the technical integrity of the plant’s inventory and the digital accuracy of the asset database. This role requires a hands-on expert capable of identifying complex industrial components and maintaining a rigorous digital record in MaintainX to support 24/7 manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- MaintainX Database Management: Serve as the primary owner for logging and verifying all facility assets. This includes entering precise model numbers, serial numbers, and tracking equipment hours.
- Asset Documentation: Maintain a visual library by taking and uploading detailed technical photos of assets and parts to the CMMS for maintenance reference.
- Inventory Categorization: Systematically organize the parts room, specifically distinguishing and labeling used/serviceable components from new stock.
- Infrastructure Management: Optimize floor space by taking down and relocating industrial racks to improve workflow and accessibility.
- Technical Parts ID: Apply deep knowledge of motors, bearings, industrial belting, and electrical components to ensure correct binning and inventory specifications.
- Lean Workspace Maintenance: Proactively manage the removal of industrial scrap and trash to ensure a safe, audit-ready environment.
Experience
- Industrial Knowledge: Advanced ability to identify manufacturing components (e.g., NEMA motor frames, bearing series, belt profiles, and PLC modules).
- CMMS Proficiency: Direct experience with MaintainX (or similar platforms) for data entry, asset tagging, and tracking.
- Mechanical Skill: Competency in using tools to safely assemble and disassemble heavy-duty industrial racking.
- Data Accuracy: Exceptional attention to detail when verifying long-form serial numbers and technical specs.
