Founded in 1984 as American Academy of Gymnastics, American Kids Sports Center (AKSC) has grown into one of California's most unique and successful kids sports center. Under the direction of owners Mike & Sheri Williams, AKSC has established an organization that sees its purpose as helping children to learn strong VALUES with which they will set worthy GOALS and for which we must train them in the SKILLS needed to achieve those goals. Sport training is the tool we use to achieve that purpose.

About the role

• We are currently seeking friendly and reliable Cafe Staff /Birthday Party Hosts to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of snacks, beverages, and light meals to our customers. This position requires someone who is passionate about food service, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to creating a positive experience for our patrons. What you'll do

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in making food and beverage selections
• Prepare and serve a variety of snacks, sandwiches, salads, and beverages according to established recipes and quality standards
• Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the snack bar/cafe area, including restocking supplies and cleaning equipment
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
• Assist in inventory management, including receiving deliveries and rotating stock
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction
• Parties: Set up party room, greet parties at end of their activity, help pass food items, help with "Happy Birthday" and gift handling, as well as clean up and breakdown.

Qualifications

• Must have or be willing to obtain Food Handlers Certificate
• Knowledge of basic food preparation and handling procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Previous experience in a food service or customer-facing role, a plus
