PAS / ELV Technician –Infrastructure Projects

We are looking for an experienced and technically skilled PAS / ELV Technician to support installation, migration, testing, and commissioning activities for Public Address Systems (PAS) and ELV infrastructure projects within Metro/Railway environments.

The technician will be responsible for rack installation, cable loom termination, LAN cabling, equipment integration, troubleshooting, and support during testing and commissioning activities.

Candidates with experience in:

· Public Address Systems (PAS/PAVA)

· ELV systems

· Control room installations

· Rack cabling

· Audio/network integration

· Metro / railway / airport environments will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

· Installation and replacement of PAS equipment including microphones, controllers, amplifiers, and associated ELV devices

· Rack mounting, cable dressing, labeling, and earthing of equipment

· Termination of cable looms, control cables, audio cables, and LAN cables

· Installation and testing of CAT6/CAT6A LSZH cabling

· Reading and following wiring diagrams, rack layouts, and termination schedules

· Support integration of PAS equipment with existing amplifiers, speakers, and network infrastructure

· Assist in IP configuration, connectivity checks, and basic network troubleshooting

· Conduct continuity tests, wire map tests, and system verification checks

· Support over-and-back testing and commissioning activities during migration windows

· Maintain proper documentation, labeling, and test records

· Follow all PTW, HSE, and site safety procedures

· Coordinate with engineers, OEM teams, and client representatives during execution

Required Skills & Experience

· Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in ELV / PAS / PAVA systems

· Experience in:

· Public Address Systems

· Audio systems

· ELV installations

· Rack wiring & terminations

· Cable loom management

· Network/LAN cabling

· Ability to identify and terminate cables as per wiring diagrams

· Experience using testing tools:

· LAN tester

· Multimeter

· Continuity tester

Basic understanding of:

· IP networking

· VLAN concepts

· Audio routing

· Zone mapping

· Familiarity with Metro, Railway, Airport, or Critical Infrastructure projects preferred

· Experience in night shift / maintenance window works preferred

· Ability to work under pressure in live operational environments Preferred Experience

Experience with any of the following is an advantage:

· VIPEDIA

· Zenitel

· PAS/PAVA systems

· Moxa converters

· Fiber optic / structured cabling

· SCADA-integrated systems

· Metro/RTA/Keolis projects

· Qualification

· Diploma / ITI / Technical Certification in Electrical, Electronics, ELV, Networking, or related field

· Other Requirements

· UAE driving license preferred

· Willingness to work night shifts and site-based assignments

· Good communication and teamwork skills

· Pay: AED3,500 - AED4,000 per month (based on experience)
