TARO BAKERY AND COFFEE BAR is seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef – Pastry to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for a passionate pastry professional who thrives in a creative, fast-paced kitchen and is ready to support and lead pastry operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in daily pastry and dessert production
  • Ensure high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Supervise, train, and motivate pastry staff
  • Contribute to menu development and seasonal dessert creations
  • Maintain food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization standards
  • Assist with inventory control, ordering, and cost management
  • Step into leadership responsibilities when required

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a professional pastry kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of baking, desserts, and pastry techniques
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and time-management skills
  • Passion for creativity and attention to detail
