TARO BAKERY AND COFFEE BAR is seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef – Pastry to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for a passionate pastry professional who thrives in a creative, fast-paced kitchen and is ready to support and lead pastry operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in daily pastry and dessert production
- Ensure high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation
- Supervise, train, and motivate pastry staff
- Contribute to menu development and seasonal dessert creations
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization standards
- Assist with inventory control, ordering, and cost management
- Step into leadership responsibilities when required
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a professional pastry kitchen
- Strong knowledge of baking, desserts, and pastry techniques
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and time-management skills
