Job Overview

Rise + Roam is a modern, fast-paced craft bakery and cafe dedicated to exceptional pastries, artisanal coffee, and Roman-style pizzas. We are seeking a skilled, passionate, and reliable Full-Time A.M. Pastry Sous Chef to help lead our morning production.

As a leader in our kitchen, you will ensure our pastry cases are flawlessly stocked every morning, maintaining the high standards of quality and craftsmanship our community loves.

Mandatory Qualifications: Please note this is a specialized role. Specific, formal pastry training and a dedicated background in pastry baking are strictly required. Candidates without explicit pastry experience will not be considered.

• Early Morning Availability: Must be able to consistently start shifts at 3:00 AM or 4:00 AM.
• Schedule Flexibility: Full-time open availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Technical Expertise: Comprehensive background in pastry arts, dough production, and baking techniques.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Leadership & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively guide, mentor, and collaborate with the bakery team.
• Kitchen Operations: Maintain a clean, organized station; arrive with a correct uniform and the professional tools/knives appropriate for the position.
• Safety & Compliance: Thorough knowledge of food safety regulations and strict adherence to health department best practices.
• Mindset: A quick learner who takes direction well, possesses a positive attitude, and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
