Job Title: PathNet & Lab Interfaces Analyst (LIS Integration Specialist)
Role Overview
The PathNet & Lab Interfaces Analyst is responsible for supporting, optimizing, and integrating Laboratory Information System (LIS) workflows, including PathNet, across enterprise healthcare environments. This role ensures accurate and efficient laboratory order processing, specimen tracking, result reporting, and seamless system interoperability using HL7 interfaces and middleware solutions.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in LIS workflows, interface troubleshooting, lab analytics, and healthcare integration standards, with the ability to collaborate effectively with laboratory staff, clinical teams, and IT stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
LIS Workflow Management (PathNet)
- Support and optimize end-to-end LIS workflows, including:
- Order entry and accessioning
- Specimen collection and tracking
- Testing and result validation
- Result reporting and distribution
- Configure test catalogs, reference ranges, and result rules.
- Maintain system dictionaries, order codes, and test mappings.
- Support laboratory compliance and regulatory requirements.
HL7 Interface Management & Troubleshooting
- Monitor and troubleshoot HL7 interfaces between LIS, EMR, middleware, and external systems.
- Analyze inbound/outbound HL7 messages (ADT, ORM, ORU, etc.).
- Resolve interface errors, message mapping issues, and data discrepancies.
- Coordinate with interface engine teams and vendors for issue resolution.
- Support new interface builds, upgrades, and system migrations.
Middleware & Instrument Integration
- Support laboratory middleware tools for instrument connectivity.
- Maintain analyzer interfaces and device communication workflows.
- Troubleshoot instrument result transmission and data integrity issues.
- Validate result routing and reflex testing logic.
Lab Analytics & Reporting
- Develop and maintain laboratory analytics dashboards and reports, including:
- Turnaround time (TAT)
- Test volumes
- Quality indicators
- Productivity metrics
- Analyze lab performance trends and recommend workflow improvements.
- Support operational and financial reporting needs.
Production Support & Incident Management
- Provide Level 2/3 support for PathNet and lab interfaces.
- Perform root cause analysis for system or interface failures.
- Participate in change management and release validation.
- Ensure minimal disruption to laboratory operations.
Compliance & Data Governance
- Support HIPAA compliance and patient data security.
- Maintain audit logs and validation documentation.
- Assist in regulatory readiness and accreditation requirements (e.g., CAP, CLIA).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Informatics, Information Systems, Laboratory Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience supporting LIS environments (PathNet preferred).
- Strong knowledge of laboratory workflows.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting HL7 interfaces.
- Experience with lab middleware and instrument integrations.
- Familiarity with healthcare integration standards (HL7, TCP/IP).
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to collaborate with lab operations and IT teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise interface engines (e.g., Cloverleaf, Rhapsody, Mirth).
- Experience in multi-site or hospital laboratory networks.
- Knowledge of SQL for reporting and data validation.
- Certification in healthcare IT or laboratory informatics (preferred).

Pay: ₹550,768.19 - ₹1,834,611.95 per year
