Patient Accounts Financial Representative

This opening is for a 40 per week day shift position.

The Patient Accounts Financial Representative is responsible for screening patients for payment resources and counseling patients on their personal financial responsibilities and making them aware of resources that may be available to assist them. They will give assistance in the application of those resources. The Patient Accounts Financial Representative will also be responsible for answering patient calls, walk-ins, and correspondence related to patient billing, while using proper customer service protocol. To resolve a patient billing issue, it may be necessary to make outbound calls to an Insurance company, Attorney, Doctor, Department Directors, etc. You will be required to ask patients to pay their bill or set up a payment plan. Your role is to improve cash flow and reduce bad debt receivables while providing good customer service.


Experience and Education:

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft office suite
  • Knowledge of standard office equipment (copier, fax machine)
  • Ability to type and use a 10 key

Minimum:

  • Experience in clerical or customer service

  • Personal technology device to download DUO application to enable access to hospital email by multi-factor authentication.
