Responsibilities
Patient Care Assistant - Essential Functions
- Responsible for safely transporting patients at the time of discharge to their responsible party vehicle.
- Stocking supplies as needed.
- Assisting Non-Clinical staff with activities such as but not limited to the following:
- Transportation of patients to Pre-Op
- Calling for patient rides
- Completing routine tasks as delegated by a Registered Nurse
- Assisting with patient turnover in pre-post op rooms as well as the OR when warranted
- Wiping down items as warranted
- Pulling supplies for cases from designated preference lists
- Reconciling accuracy of delivered supplies against packing slips
- Designated quality checks
- Assisting Non-Clinical staff with activities such as but not limited to the following:
- Patient check-in
- Setting out nourishments
- Wiping down furniture
Other Essential Functions
- Must be willing and able to adjust schedule depending upon the needs of the company
- Must be willing to cross train to GI decontamination
- Must present and be ready for work at the scheduled time
- Participates in department and company meetings, as requested
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education & Licensing
- High School Diploma, or equivalent, required
- CNA, CMA or LPN in the state of WI, required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required, will provide upon hire
Experience
- Surgical Center or medical office experience preferred.
