Job Summary
Why United Theranostics: Join us at the forefront of accessible cancer care! United Theranostics is a brand-new, innovative nuclear medicine clinic revolutionizing how patients access life-changing radiopharmaceutical therapy (RPT) in the community setting. We're breaking down barriers and bringing cutting-edge treatment closer to home. As a newly launched practice, we're building something special from the ground up—a warm, patient-centered clinic where compassionate care meets advanced medicine. Every patient who walks through our doors receives personalized attention in a comfortable, outpatient environment designed with their well-being in mind. This is your chance to be part of something transformative from day one, helping shape the future of community-based cancer treatment!
About the Role: We are looking for a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with exceptional communication skills and a strong commitment to delivering outstanding patient care to serve as our Patient Care Coordinator. You'll be the first point of contact in our nuclear medicine clinic, greeting patients and guiding them through every step of their care journey. This dynamic role blends front-office coordination—managing appointments, verifying insurance, and handling patient communications—with hands-on clinical care, including taking vitals, preparing patients for procedures, and providing compassionate support throughout their treatment. If you're a team player who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment and wants to make a real difference in patients' lives, apply today.
What You’ll Do:
· Greet patients and create a welcoming first impression
· Manage calls, emails, and patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy
· Support patients through registration and post-care steps
· Verify and enter patient information and insurance details
· Collect copays and handle medical records securely
· Coordinate patient care with physicians and clinic staff
· Manage appointment scheduling and communication
· Assist with ordering supplies and receiving deliveries
· Support clinical care: take vitals, prep patients, and document medical info
· Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and assist with infection control
· Help with patient transfers, mobility, and comfort during procedures
· Perform CMA duties within scope, ensuring patient safety and protocol adherence
About Our Team:
We foster a collaborative, agile work environment where everyone pitches in. We value open communication, shared ideas, and a strong sense of team. As a growing start-up clinic, we offer the opportunity to learn about radiopharmaceutical therapies and gain exposure to clinical research through various ongoing trials. Given the small size of the clinic, you'll need to be comfortable wearing many hats and stepping in where needed. If you're someone who enjoys variety in your day and wants to make a direct impact on patient care, you’ll fit right in.
What You’ll Need to Get the Job Done:
· Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
· Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential, preferred
· 3+ years in a healthcare or medical office setting
· Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance workflows
· Discretion with confidential information and good judgment
· Ability to sit, bend, squat, and assist with patient transfers as needed
What Will Make You Great at this Job:
· Strong multitasking and time management skills
· Reliable attendance and consistent punctuality
· Friendly, patient-centered approach
· Clear, effective communication with patients and colleagues
· Compassionate, empathetic attitude
· Flexibility in a dynamic clinical setting
· Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
· Team-oriented mindset and willingness to help wherever needed
What We Offer:
We offer competitive pay based on experience, core benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus paid time off and paid holidays. A 401(k) plan is coming soon.
