Patient Care Coordinator

South Shore Collaborative Psychiatry is seeking a part-time Patient Care Coordinator to support our growing outpatient psychiatric practice in Amityville!

This role is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, compassionate, and comfortable communicating with individuals seeking mental health care. As the first point of contact for many new patients, a calm, kind, and professional demeanor is essential.

Responsibilities include:

• Responding to new patient inquiries

• Verifying insurance benefits and eligibility

• Assisting patients with intake paperwork and portal access

• Scheduling new patient evaluations and follow up appointments

• Assisting with appointment confirmations and rescheduling

• Obtaining records from collaborating healthcare providers when needed

• Supporting smooth communication between patients and clinicians

This is a flexible 1099 independent contractor position starting at $20/hour. Preferred hours are weekday daytime with the opportunity for remote work after training. Must be within a reasonable commuting distance of Amityville, NY. Experience in healthcare, mental health, medical scheduling, or customer service is preferred.
