Patient Care Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician to join our team as a driver/technician. This is a very unique position to use your rehab skills in a non-traditional manner.

Laurel Med is an organization dedicated to providing the highest quality mobility and home accessibility products and services to our patients. We are seeking a skilled Rehab Tech to use your patient skills as well as your technical skills to provide mobility equipment to our patients.

Our office is based in Monroeville but you will cover a 15-20 county area of W Pa. In addition to the benefits described this position also includes:

Responsibilities

• Assist ATP's with the delivery of mobility, home access and transfer products throughout Western Pa.
• Provide patient education on the products and services we provide.
• Service mobility products in patient homes.
• Maintain vehicle in safe and working order.
• Communicate with office and ATP staff on a daily basis.

Skills

• Strong patient service and patient care skills with a compassionate approach.
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
• Prior hospital experience or clinic experience in acute or outpatient care preferred.
• Familiarity with orthopedic, geriatric, or sub-acute care environments is advantageous.
• Strong mechanical and technical skills.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Work Location: On the road
