Patient Care Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Patient Care Technician to join our healthcare team. At Horizons of Health, you are more than just support staff—they are an integral part of our patient care team. Guided by our holistic and functional medicine philosophy, Patient Care Technicians help ensure that every patient receives compassionate, attentive, and effective care. This role blends clinical support with administrative coordination, helping patients feel welcome and cared for while supporting the Nurse Practitioner and clinical staff in delivering advanced, restorative treatments.

Primary responsibilities are:

Clinical Support

• Welcome and prepare patients for their visits in a calm, caring manner.
• Take and accurately record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, oxygen levels)
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and welcoming treatment environment.
• Restock and organize treatment rooms, IV supplies, and clinic equipment.

Administrative Support

• Greet and check in patients, ensuring a smooth intake process.
• Update and maintain patient records within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Support scheduling and patient communication, including phone calls, portal messages, and follow-up reminders.
• Assist with ordering and tracking medical and lab supplies.
• Coordinate with the clinical team to ensure patient flow and timely appointments.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
