Employee’s Role: Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the delivery of interventional mental health treatments such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Esketamine. This position is in person at our 38th Street office in Austin, TX, and is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, patient-centered environment and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of those navigating depression, anxiety, and related challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate, professional care to patients receiving TMS and Esketamine treatments
• Administer treatments in accordance with physician protocols, monitor sessions, and ensure optimal patient comfort
• Troubleshoot any patient discomfort or technical issues with equipment setup during treatment
• Administer and explain psychiatric rating scales as directed
• Accurately maintain patient information, treatment documentation, and EMR data
• Responsible for contributing to all administrative aspects of the practice, including but not limited to scheduling, insurance verification, collections management and patient check in/check out.
• Respond to patient inquiries via phone and email with warmth and professionalism
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient experiences
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times
• Role may require handling of bodily fluids
• Experience obtaining patient vitals preferred

Reporting To: Psychiatry Practice Manager

Job Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; confident, compassionate, and patient-centered
• Proven ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced setting
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and navigating EMR or similar platforms
• Experience in a mental health, therapy, or psychiatry setting preferred
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in healthcare, patient care, or customer service

Pay Range:$23.00 – $25.00 per hour, based on experience, education, and skills. Additional compensation opportunities may be available depending on performance and role expansion.
