PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN

We are seeking a dedicated Dialysis Technician (CCHT) to join our healthcare team. Duties

• Prepare patients for dialysis treatments, including pre-dialysis testing, assessment, and preparation of the dialysis machine.
• Monitor patients' vital signs during treatments and alert medical staff to any changes in their condition.
• Perform aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients undergoing dialysis.
• Administer medications as directed by the attending physician or nurse practitioner.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Maintain accurate records of patient treatments, including vital signs, medications, and any complications that may arise during treatment.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, promoting a positive experience and enhancing patient outcomes.

Skills

• Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy, as well as medical terminology.
• Proficiency in aseptic technique and ability to maintain a sterile environment.
• Experience with dialysis treatments and the ability to operate dialysis machines.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain a calm and patient demeanor in high-pressure situations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
