About Us – Outpatient Dialysis
- Freeman Nephrology and Dialysis consists of a multidisciplinary team-working together to provide compassionate care for patients with various kidney-related diseases requiring dialysis treatment.
- Outpatient dialysis services are provided at Freeman Hospital East and Webb City Neighborhood Care
- Freeman Nephrology and Dialysis Center in Joplin features 17 comfortable chairs, state-of-the art equipment, innovative technology and a safe, private environment for patients
- Freeman Health System Outpatient Dialysis in Webb City features 24 comfortable chairs, state-of-the-art equipment, innovative technology and a safe, private environment for patients
- You will have the ability to develop relationships with your patients on a personal level and make a difference in their lives
- Partner of Saint Luke’s Health System Kidney Transplant Program
What You’ll Do
The role of the Patient Care Technician in the outpatient hemodialysis program is ensuring the safe and effective delivery of a dialysis treatment to patients with chronic renal failure and their co-morbid conditions under the direct supervision of the RN/LPN staff.
Requirements
- A titer for Hepatitis B surface antibodies.
- AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 60 days.
- Clinical Hemodialysis Technician certification within 18 months.
- Dialysis Skills Lab annually by transcript due date.
