Patient Care Technician (PCT)
to assist with patient care in our
Obstetrics, Postpartum, Neonatal, and Women’s Health units
.
Reporting to the
Director of Obstetrical Nursing
, the
Patient Care Technician
works under the direction and supervision of
licensed nursing personnel
to support the care of
antenatal, neonate, postpartum, and GYN patients
. Care is delivered in accordance with the standards established by the
Nursing Services Department
, as well as all
hospital policies and regulatory guidelines
.
This role is ideal for individuals interested in building experience in
maternal health, labor and delivery, postpartum care, neonatal care, or hospital patient care
.
What You’ll Do
As a
Patient Care Technician in Women’s Health
, you will assist the clinical team with essential
direct patient care responsibilities
, including:

Taking and documenting vital signs accurately
-
Assisting patients with basic care needs and comfort measures
-
Supporting nurses with routine patient care tasks
-
Monitoring patient needs and communicating observations to Registered Nurses
-
Helping maintain a safe, clean, and supportive patient care environment
-
Providing compassionate customer service to patients and families
-
Supporting care for antenatal, postpartum, neonatal, and gynecological patients
Your role helps ensure patients and families receive attentive, supportive care during their hospital stay.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
-
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience
-
Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician (PCT) preferred
Licensure & Certification
-
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
-
BLS Certification – Healthcare Provider required
