Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our outpatient dialysis team. In this role, you will assist in providing safe and effective hemodialysis treatments while supporting patients with end-stage renal disease. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and set up dialysis machines and treatment stations

  • Initiate and monitor hemodialysis treatments under nurse supervision

  • Record and monitor patient vital signs before, during, and after treatment

  • Provide vascular access care (fistulas, grafts, catheters) following protocol

  • Discontinue dialysis treatments and safely disconnect patients

  • Clean and disinfect equipment and patient stations between treatments

  • Accurately document treatment information and patient observations

  • Observe patients for complications and report concerns promptly

  • Maintain strict infection control and safety standards

  • Provide compassionate care and support to patients during treatment


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Completion of a Patient Care Technician or dialysis technician training program preferred

  • CCHT certification (or ability to obtain within required timeframe)

  • Current CPR/BLS certification required

  • Previous healthcare or dialysis experience preferred but not required
