Patient Coordinator

Concertina is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator in the Healthcare / Specialty Pharmacy industry. This is a high-volume, call-based role serving as the first point of contact for patients, providing support throughout the prescription fulfillment process. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a customer service mindset, and the ability to manage multiple interactions efficiently in a fast-paced environment. No clinical license is required, as training will be provided.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Handle high-volume inbound and outbound patient calls in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information
  • Assist patients with questions related to prescriptions, pricing, delivery, and coverage
  • Educate patients on insurance benefits, claims status, and fulfillment processes
  • Support prior authorization and approval processes as needed
  • Document all interactions accurately in internal systems
  • Coordinate with physicians, pharmacies, and internal teams to ensure smooth processing
  • Resolve patient concerns and escalate complex issues when necessary
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Follow established workflows, scripts, and procedures
  • Provide excellent customer service and build positive patient relationships
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new processes, tools, and healthcare information
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in customer service, BPO, or healthcare support preferred
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience in a call center or high-volume environment is an advantage
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
