Job Title: Patient Liaison/Insurance Coordinator
Job Summary: Our busy pediatric dental office is seeking a dedicated Patient Liaison/Insurance Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our families, ensuring a smooth and positive experience from the first phone call to the final checkout. You will play a critical role in managing the administrative lifecycle of patient care, specifically focusing on the intersection of patient relations and insurance accuracy.
Key Duties:
- Communication: Answering patient phone calls with a warm and professional demeanor, scheduling appointments, and addressing family inquiries.
- Insurance Verification: Performing comprehensive verification of insurance benefits for new and existing patients prior to their appointments.
- Plan Management: Accurately attaching insurance plans to patient accounts and updating coverage details to ensure precise billing.
- Data Integrity: Ensuring all digital paperwork, medical histories, and patient updates are completed thoroughly and entered correctly into our system.
- Financial Coordination: Calculating patient portions, explaining benefits to parents, and collecting outstanding balances and co-pays at the time of service.

- Possesses a warm, positive, and outgoing attitude.
- Insurance Savvy: Understands dental insurance terminology (deductibles, maximums, and co-insurance) and feels comfortable navigating insurance portals.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Is able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred.
- Experience with insurance verification and eligibility systems is highly valued.
- Proficiency in Open Dental and NexHealth is not required, but considered a major plus!
