Our Laborist Group is looking for a dependable, organized Patient Registration & Assistant Biller to join our team. This hybrid role combines remote work with local hospital visits and plays a key part in ensuring a smooth experience for our patients, providers, and hospital partners.

What You'll Do

Hospital & Provider Support

  • Visit local hospitals to pick up face sheets, provider charges, and other key documents.
  • Build positive, professional relationships with:
  • Admissions
  • Medical Records
  • Labor & Delivery teams
  • Serve as a friendly, reliable representative of our group in all on-site interactions.

Patient Registration & Communication

  • Enter patient demographics, insurance, and documentation into AthenaOne EMR.
  • Contact patients to verify or update insurance information.
  • Explain our billing process clearly-patients receive professional services from our laborists, which are billed by our group, not the hospital.
  • Handle all Protected Health Information (PHI) with strict adherence to HIPAA standards.

Billing & Administrative Support

  • Assist with claim holds, documentation review, scanning, and organizing key records.
  • Support the revenue cycle team with various administrative tasks.
  • Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance in all PHI-related duties.

Requirements

  • Experienced in OB-GYN, women's health, L&D, or patient registration (highly preferred).
  • Familiar with AthenaOne or other EMR/EHR systems (a plus!).
  • Knowledgeable about NV and AZ payers, including Medicaid.
  • Strong communicator who builds rapport easily with hospital staff and patients.
  • Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable working independently.
  • Equipped with reliable transportation for frequent local travel.
  • Confident handling PHI and fully committed to HIPAA compliance.
