Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Patient Services Coordinator with a strong background in dental front office operations to join our team. This role is essential in delivering an excellent patient experience while managing scheduling, insurance verification, treatment presentation, and patient accounts.
The ideal candidate has prior dental office experience, is highly organized, and is confident discussing patient dental needs, treatment plans, insurance benefits, and financial arrangements with patients.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Communication and Treatment Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients (phone, email, and in-person)
- Present and explain dental treatment plans, procedures, and financial responsibilities
- Discuss insurance benefits, co-pays, deductibles, and payment options
- Answer patient questions regarding treatment, scheduling, billing, and insurance
Scheduling and Front Office Management
- Manage and maintain a productive dental schedule, optimizing provider time
- Confirm appointments and reduce cancellations and no-shows
- Coordinate with clinical team to ensure efficient patient flow
- Provide pre-appointment instructions and verify required documentation
Insurance Verification and Billing Support
- Verify dental insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage prior to treatment
- Follow up on outstanding, delayed, or denied claims
- Assist patients with billing questions and payment arrangements
Patient Account Management
- Maintain accurate patient records in the practice management system
- Ensure all insurance and financial information is current and complete
- Ensure all required documentation is maintained
- Collect payments and review account balances with patients
Compliance and Documentation
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and dental industry regulations
- Ensure patient confidentiality and accurate recordkeeping
Team Support
- Maintain a professional and organized front office environment
- Collaborate with providers, dental assistants, and administrative team
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of dental front office experience REQUIRED
- Experience with dental insurance verification, claims, and billing
- Strong understanding of treatment plan presentation and case acceptance
- Proficiency with dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Curve, or similar)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience presenting financial arrangements and third-party financing options
- Familiarity with PPO insurance plans and breakdowns
- Experience submitting radiographs and insurance narratives

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
