Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Service Representative - I to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service to patients, managing administrative tasks, and supporting the smooth operation of the medical office. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical office settings and possess strong communication skills. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently
- Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and update records accurately
- Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls appropriately
- Collect copays and/or outstanding amounts due
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support medical staff with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management
- Ensure the waiting area is clean, organized, and welcoming for patients
Experience
- Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology is highly desirable
- Experience providing medical administrative support or office experience is beneficial
- Dental office experience is a plus but not required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor are necessary for success in this role
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
