Patient Services – Phone Team Representative

The Eye Institute of Utah is seeking a full-time Patient Services Phone Team Representative to join our busy ophthalmology practice. This role is responsible for serving as a primary point of contact for patients calling the clinic and plays an important part in ensuring patients receive timely, helpful, and professional assistance.

Responsibilities include:

Answering incoming patient phone calls and providing accurate information and support

Scheduling appointments within the electronic medical record (EMR) system

Assisting patients with portal access and general questions about upcoming appointments

Verifying and explaining insurance information, including co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance

Routing messages and clinical questions to the appropriate departments or providers

Maintaining professionalism and efficiency while managing a high call volume

Qualifications:

Prior medical office or call center experience preferred

Strong computer and EMR skills

Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing outstanding customer service

Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong attention to detail
