Responsibilities

  • Collect and verify patient information accurately through data entry into electronic health records systems
  • Assist patients with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and follow-up coordination
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and staff to relay patient needs and important updates
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive medical information in compliance with privacy regulations
  • Use computer skills to navigate medical office software efficiently and perform routine administrative tasks
  • Support the medical office team by handling inquiries related to billing, insurance, and general patient concerns

Experience

  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology to facilitate accurate communication and data entry
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and at least one additional language to serve diverse patient populations effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly, professional demeanor
  • Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations tactfully
  • Familiarity with computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite or electronic health record systems
  • Analysis skills to identify potential issues or discrepancies in patient data or administrative processes
