Patient Transportation Specialist

At Eversafe, our drivers are the foundation of our service. We are seeking compassionate, dependable Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Drivers to safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and senior living communities.

This role is ideal for individuals who value professionalism, reliability, and helping others in their community. Drivers will assist both ambulatory and wheelchair passengers, ensuring every ride is safe, comfortable, and on time.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport passengers to medical appointments and healthcare facilities
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, including wheelchair assistance when required
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure on-time pickups and drop-offs
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, healthcare facilities, and passengers
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any safety or maintenance concerns
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and professional presentation
• Provide courteous, respectful, and compassionate customer service
• Comply with all transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong knowledge of local roads and safe driving practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to assist passengers with mobility needs (up to approximately 250 lbs with equipment assistance)
• Professional, patient, and compassionate demeanor
• Ability to remain calm and dependable in time-sensitive situations
