Patient Transportation Specialist

Our leading substance abuse rehabilitation facility is seeking a dynamic Patient Transportation Specialist. The ideal candidate will have experience in Transportation services with a passion for driving positive change in the lives of those affected by substance abuse challenges.

Responsibilities:
- Plans and maps out routes to take for a given destination in conjunction with the Transportation Coordinator/Admissions Supervisor.
- Provides safe and courteous patient pick-up/drop-off, ensuring a high level of customer service and effective interpersonal communication.
- Serve as a liaison between drivers, vendors, and customers to provide updates
- Address delays, disruptions and changes with supervisors.
- Ensure all movements adhere to federal, state, and local safety regulations.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8am to 4 pm with holiday and weekend requirements

High School or GED

1-3 Years’ driving/patient transport experience

Valid NYS Driver’s License with Clean History/Record

Ability to read and follow a map or directions for driving

Must demonstrate competence in the specific areas relevant to this role, as assessed during competency reviews (see role competency).
