Patient Transporter

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from different hospital departments, ensuring their comfort and dignity throughout the process
• Assist patients with mobility needs, including those with limited physical ability or special medical requirements
• Maintain clear communication with clinical staff to coordinate patient transfers efficiently
• Follow proper safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and infection control procedures
• Monitor patient well-being during transport, recognizing signs of distress or medical emergencies
• Keep accurate records of patient movements and report any incidents or concerns promptly
• Support hospital staff with additional tasks such as moving equipment or supplies when needed

Requirements

• Prior experience in home and community care or hospital settings is highly desirable
• Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) to respond effectively in emergency situations
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care with a focus on safety and comfort
• Experience working in critical care transport environments is a plus
• Strong physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and assist patients over extended periods
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with healthcare teams and reassuring patients
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to strict safety protocols
