Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients between departments, rooms, diagnostic areas, and treatment facilities while prioritizing patient comfort and safety
• Assist patients with mobility needs, including transfers from beds to wheelchairs or stretchers, ensuring proper handling techniques
• Support clinical staff by providing timely movement of specimens, medical equipment, and supplies as needed
• Maintain clear communication with healthcare teams regarding patient status and transport schedules to ensure seamless coordination
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of mobility aids and adherence to infection control procedures
• Keep transport carts and equipment clean, organized, and ready for use at all times
• Document transport activities accurately in relevant logs or electronic health records when required

Experience

• Previous experience in home & community care or hospital settings is highly preferred
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required to handle emergency situations effectively
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care with attention to dignity and comfort
• Familiarity with hospital operations and critical care transport enhances your effectiveness in this role
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams are essential
