Job Description – Pattern Master - Male Only

Department: Production / Sampling

Reporting To: Production Manager / Unit Head

Job Summary:

The Pattern Master is responsible for manual pattern making, grading, and fit development for Women’s and Men’s garments. The role requires strong grading knowledge and design understanding to support sampling and bulk production with accurate fit and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop manual garment patterns based on design sketches, samples, and measurement charts
• Perform size grading accurately for Men’s and Women’s categories
• Understand design intent and convert it into production-ready patterns
• Create and modify patterns for samples, fit samples, and bulk production
• Ensure proper fit, balance, and comfort across all sizes
• Guide sampling tailors during stitching and fitting
• Resolve fit issues based on trials and feedback
• Ensure patterns are production-friendly and minimize rework
• Maintain pattern records and grading sheets
• Support production team in fit and construction-related issues

Categories Handled:

Women’s Wear:

• Kurti, tops, blouses, salwar, ethnic & casual wear

Men’s Wear:

• Shirts, trousers, ethnic wear, casual garments

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong manual pattern making skills (No CAD required)
• Excellent grading knowledge for Men’s & Women’s garments
• Good design sense and garment construction knowledge
• Understanding of fabric behavior and shrinkage
• Ability to interpret measurements and design inputs
• Good coordination and communication skills

Qualification & Experience:

• Exp in Pattern Making or Fashion Technology
• 4–10 years of experience as a Pattern Master
• Experience in sampling and bulk production support
