Pattern Master for Garment Factory (Knits)

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of garment construction (knits/wovens as applicable).
• Proficiency in pattern making; CAD software knowledge is a must.
• Expertise in grading rules and domestic/international size standards.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop first patterns from design sketches, tech packs, or reference samples.
• Grade patterns to required size ranges with measurement accuracy.
• Collaborate with sampling team to prepare prototypes and samples.
• Conduct fit trials on mannequins/models and make necessary corrections.
• Translate designs into production-friendly patterns with seam allowances, shrinkage, and finishing in mind.
• Ensure quality standards and buyer compliance requirements are met.
• Plan markers efficiently to reduce fabric wastage.
• Work closely with Merchandisers, Designers, and Production teams for smooth execution.
• Resolve technical and fit issues during bulk runs.
• Provide technical input on construction methods, stitch types, and seam allowances.
• Maintain a library of approved master patterns, size sets, and markers.
• Document all approvals, corrections, and final fits for reference

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma/Certificate in Pattern Making, Garment Technology, or Fashion Design.
• 5–10 years’ experience as a Pattern Master in garment manufacturing.
• Experience in handling export/domestic brands and buyer fit protocols preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
