Paver Operator / Screed Operator / Skilled & Experienced Paver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Paver Operator / Screed Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong background experience operating pavers, screeds, and paving related skills, as well as mechanical and maintenance knowledge. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks that support the overall operations of our projects, including paving, grading, concrete and asphalt work. This is a full-time position that requires a positive work ethic and a commitment to quality work. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. As a Paver Operator / Screed Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that work is completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate paver, screed, and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues to the maintenance team.
• Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to complete tasks accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth workflow and project completion.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment storage and maintenance areas.
• Assist with paving, asphalt and concrete pouring operations as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Qualifications:

• Required: 3-5 years of experience operating pavers, screeds, and general paving experience.
• Preferred: Highly skilled and experienced (5+ years) in paving.
• Strong mechanical and maintenance knowledge is a plus.
• Experience in grading, excavating, asphalt or concrete pouring is a plus.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 75 pounds).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
