Job Title: Bilingual Pawnbroker / Sales Associate (Part-Time)

Location: North Hills, CA

Compensation: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour (Based on experience)

Job Summary

We are a local North Hills pawn shop seeking a motivated, reliable, and customer-focused Bilingual Sales Associate/Pawnbroker. Your primary goal is to provide exceptional service, accurately value collateral, and maintain an organized, high-energy retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Provide immediate recognition and professional assistance to all customers entering the store.

• Loan Operations: Assist in processing new loans and renewals; accurately determine the value of collateral during the loan process.

• Sales & E-Commerce: List and sell store inventory across multiple platforms, including in-store retail, Craigslist, and eBay.

• Logistics: Manage packaging and shipping for eBay sales; pull inventory forfeits from the warehouse and prepare them for the sales floor.

• Store Maintenance: Maintain a presentable retail space and organized warehouse; perform procedural duties such as pricing merchandise and filing loan tickets.

• Marketing: Assist with local outreach by distributing flyers in the surrounding area.

Requirements

• Language: Must be fully Bilingual (English/Spanish).

• Tech Savvy: Computer literate with a strong understanding of modern electronics (laptops, game consoles, cameras, etc.).

• Documentation: Valid Driver’s License and legal authorization to work in the US.

• Background: Must pass a background check and drug test; stable work history required.

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Soft Skills: Excellent leadership skills, a "can-do" attitude, and a commitment to punctuality.

Schedule & Physical Demands

• Type: Part-time.

• Transport: Reliable transportation is a must.

• Physical: Ability to clean, move, and carry inventory from the warehouse to the retail area.
