Job description:

Pawsitively Paws is a professional pet care company focused on reliable, high-quality service for pets and their families. We’re growing and looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, and interested in a long-term role.

What This Role Looks Like

This position combines dog walking, drop-in pet sitting, and overnight pet sitting.

• Providing dog walks and pet care visits (typically between 9:00am–5:00pm)
• Completing overnight pet sitting in clients’ homes (overnights are between 7:00pm and 8:00am the following morning)
• Following detailed care instructions for each pet
• Ensuring the safety and well-being of pets at all times
• Reporting any health or behavioral concerns to management
• Providing companionship and playtime during visits
• Cleaning up and properly disposing of pet waste
• Tracking visits and sending visit updates with notes and photos through our scheduling app
• Representing the company professionally in clients’ homes

This is a growing role. Most team members begin with a lighter schedule and build toward more consistent work over time as they take on regular clients.

Schedule & Availability (Please Read)

• Availability is needed Monday–Sunday for daytime visits and overnight pet sitting
• Overnight pet sitting is a required part of this role

While schedules are flexible and can adapt to school commitments, this role requires consistent availability and is intended for individuals seeking a long-term position.

In practice, we work with your availability and time-off needs. However, reliability and follow-through are essential. This is not an on-call role, but it does require a level of consistency that allows us to serve clients dependably.

Pay

• $18/hour for walks and drop-in visits
• $55 per overnight stay
• Tips and bonus opportunities available

Important to Know

This role is not a fixed, set schedule right away. Like most pet care positions, it takes time to build a full, consistent schedule.

We are looking for someone who understands that growth process and wants to stay long enough to benefit from it.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working with animals (pet sitting, kennel work, veterinary clinic, etc.)
• Knowledge of basic pet care and handling techniques
• Familiarity with different dog breeds and temperaments
• Ability to handle dogs of varying sizes and energy levels
• Basic understanding of dog training principles is a plus
