Position Summary:
The Paymaster cum Finance Administrator is responsible for overseeing payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of salaries, benefits, and deductions, while also supporting overall financial administration. The role requires strong knowledge of payroll systems, accounting principles, and compliance with statutory requirements. The candidate must be experienced, detail-oriented, and proficient in using Equal system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and process monthly payroll for all employees in line with company policies and UAE labor law.
- Ensure all statutory deductions (such as gratuity, leave salary, overtime, etc.) are correctly calculated and recorded.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and confidentiality at all times.
- Administer employee benefits, final settlements, and end-of-service calculations.
- Verify attendance records, timesheets, and overtime submissions in coordination with HR.
- Prepare payroll-related reports for management review.
- Assist the Finance Department in day-to-day financial operations, including:
- Preparing journal entries and reconciling payroll accounts.
- Assisting in accounts payable and receivable functions when required.
- Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, financial regulations, and audit requirements.
- Liaise with HR, department heads, and employees regarding payroll queries.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience as a Paymaster or in a similar finance role within the hospitality industry.
- Must be familiar with Equal system (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of UAE labor law, payroll practices, and statutory compliance.
- High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Candidate:
- Experienced in handling payroll for large hotel staff strength.
- Strong financial administrative background with multitasking ability.
