PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR / BOOKKEEPER
Job Summary
ALK Global Security Solutions is seeking a detail oriented and energetic Payroll Administrator / Bookkeeper to join our growing team. In this vital role, you will oversee payroll processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping operations while maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
This position is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, professional, and experienced with QuickBooks Enterprise and financial operations in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently through QuickBooks Enterprise
- Ensure timely payroll processing for employees and contractors
- Maintain payroll records and employee financial data
- Assist with payroll tax reporting and compliance requirements
- Maintain confidentiality with all payroll and employee information
Accounts Payable
- Manage vendor invoices and payment processing
- Monitor outstanding payables and maintain organized records
- Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure timely payment of company obligations
Accounts Receivable
- Process client invoices and billing records
- Monitor outstanding balances and collections
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding payment status
- Maintain accurate customer account records
Bookkeeping & Accounting
- Perform account reconciliations and general ledger balancing
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month end closing
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records
- Reconcile bank accounts, AP, AR, and other financial accounts
- Assist management with financial reporting and expense tracking
Administrative Support
- Conduct detailed and accurate data entry
- Maintain organized financial and employee documentation
- Assist with administrative office functions as needed
- Support internal financial organization and workflow efficiency
Qualifications & Skills
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years advanced payroll processing experience using QuickBooks Enterprise
- Strong accounts payable and accounts receivable experience
- Experience processing payroll for multiple employees and contractors
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Strong understanding of debits, credits, journal entries, and reconciliations
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Professional communication and confidentiality standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in payroll tax compliance and reporting
- Experience with month end financial processes
- Prior bookkeeping or accounting office experience
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
