SummitWest Care is seeking a PayrollFinance Coordinator to support our Finance and Human Resources teams. This role plays an important part in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while supporting the financial operations that keep our nonprofit organization running smoothly.

If you enjoy working with numbers, solving problems, and helping employees with payroll and benefit questions, this may be a great fit. This position works closely with both Finance and HR leadership, providing support with payroll processing, benefits administration, billing, and general financial coordination.

What You'll Do

As the PayrollFinance Coordinator, you will:

  • Process payroll accurately and on schedule in compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Maintain payroll records including garnishments, benefit deductions, 401(k) contributions, bonuses, and HFWA leave
  • Coordinate payroll updates related to new hires, terminations, status changes, and benefit deductions with Human Resources
  • Serve as a resource for employees with payroll or benefit-related questions
  • Assist with employee benefits administration including enrollments and vendor coordination
  • Generate payroll and workforce reports including overtime, leave usage, and other reporting needs
  • Support billing activities by reviewing documentation and assisting with invoicing processes
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks as directed by Finance leadership
  • Maintain organized records and documentation to support audits and financial compliance
  • Support HR and Finance leadership with additional operational tasks as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Associate's degree in accounting, business, HR, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with payroll processing or HR/payroll coordination
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Preferred:
  • Experience working in payroll, HR, accounting, or nonprofit operations
  • Familiarity with benefits administration or payroll systems

Schedule

Full-time position
Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Work Environment

This position works primarily in an office setting with frequent interaction with employees and leadership. The environment is collaborative, fast-paced, and focused on supporting the mission of SummitWest Care.
