Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently using systems such as Famous Software
- Enter and verify data related to hours worked, benefits, deductions, and tax information with precision
- Reconcile payroll accounts through general ledger accounting and account reconciliation practices
- Maintain employee records related to benefits administration, tax filings, and timekeeping
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions related to payroll expenses and vendor payments
- Support benefits administration processes including enrollments, updates, and compliance reporting
- Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and tax requirements through meticulous data entry and documentation
- Assist in data collection efforts to ensure completeness of payroll information
- Use computer skills such as typing, transcription, and Microsoft Excel to manage large volumes of data efficiently
- Generate reports using pivot tables and other tools to support payroll reconciliation and audits
- Support order entry processes related to payroll processing and clerical tasks as needed
- Assist tracking all overtime and total hours by department (all warehouse functions) and field operation (growing and harvesting)
- Assist in the preparation of detailed payroll reports for resource analysis and forecasting staff requirements
- Assist driving a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices and fostering innovation based on production analysis trends
Qualifications
- Proven experience with payroll management software such as Famous Software
- Strong understanding of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing) and attention to detail
- Knowledge of human resources systems (HRIS) for benefits administration and employee record management
- Ability to analyze financial data effectively and perform account reconciliation tasks efficiently
- Proven experience with data entry, clerical work, or administrative support in an office setting
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with databases and ERP systems
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail for accurate record keeping
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately
- Prior office experience involving filing, data collection, or transcription is preferred
- Demonstrated typing speed with high accuracy for efficient data input
- Good understanding of office procedures such as filing systems and data management protocols
Experience
- 2-4 years’ experience in payroll processing
Education
- High School Diploma or G.E.D is required
- Associate’s degree in: Accounting, Business or Finance

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
