Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our global payroll team. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing India payroll accurately and timely across multiple regions, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting payroll-related audits and reporting. This role requires a strong understanding of global payroll systems, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality. The specialist will also support process improvements in collaboration with the Payroll Manager and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process end-to-end payroll for assigned countries/regions in accordance with local laws and company policies.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure accurate employee data and payroll inputs.
  • Validate and reconcile payroll reports, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefits.
  • Ensure timely submission of statutory filings and payments (e.g., income tax, social security, provident fund).
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Assist in payroll audits, internal controls, and compliance reviews.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
  • Support system upgrades, testing, and implementation of payroll tools or enhancements.
  • Generate payroll reports for Finance and HR teams as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of India payroll processing experience.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and statutory compliance.
  • Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP Vista, HCM, ADP Celergo etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience processing India payroll along with global payroll processing.
  • Certification in payroll (e.g., CPP, FPC, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance and audit processes.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Requires good organizational, analytical, and interpersonal/customer relations skills.
  • Requires extensive use of computers, software packages, and calculator.
  • Self-motivated; ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills required with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of associates within company.
