Payroll Specialist

Job Description:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing the full-cycle payroll process for both field and office employees. This role ensures compliance with prevailing wage requirements, including the Davis-Bacon Act, as well as all applicable state and federal wage-and-hour laws. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to reconcile production data with payroll records.

Payroll Responsibilities:

  • Collect and review electronic timesheets and process accurate weekly payroll
  • Maintain payroll deductions, earnings, deferrals, and withholdings for all employees
  • Maintain and track PTO
  • Provide information and clarification for any employee questions related to payroll
  • Process and maintain records of child support and other garnishment deductions as required by legal documents
  • Process and maintain certified payrolls as required per contract agreements

Requirements:

  • Discretion and trustworthiness due to frequent contact with confidential materials
  • Proven working experience in Payroll
  • Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures
  • Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and QuickBooks accounting software
  • Proficiency in English and in MS Office
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
