Job Description:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing the full-cycle payroll process for both field and office employees. This role ensures compliance with prevailing wage requirements, including the Davis-Bacon Act, as well as all applicable state and federal wage-and-hour laws. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to reconcile production data with payroll records.
Payroll Responsibilities:
- Collect and review electronic timesheets and process accurate weekly payroll
- Maintain payroll deductions, earnings, deferrals, and withholdings for all employees
- Maintain and track PTO
- Provide information and clarification for any employee questions related to payroll
- Process and maintain records of child support and other garnishment deductions as required by legal documents
- Process and maintain certified payrolls as required per contract agreements
Requirements:
- Discretion and trustworthiness due to frequent contact with confidential materials
- Proven working experience in Payroll
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures
- Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and QuickBooks accounting software
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
