Payroll Specialist (Part-Time)

Overview
​Our growing accounting office is hiring a part-time Payroll Specialist. This is an in-person position requiring a 16-25 hours per week from Monday to Thursday. The hourly rate will start at $15.00 and may change at the 90-day performance review.

​This position could lead to a Bookkeeper position for the right candidate.

This is not an entry-level position. You must have an accounting degree or relevant experience.

​Duties

  • Processing full-cycle payrolls for our clients
  • Processing payroll tax payments
  • Filing payroll tax returns
  • Assisting clients with onboarding their employees for payroll-purposes
  • Maintaining accurate records of payroll, tax filings, and governmental accounting documentation
  • Completing payroll-related audits and documents
  • Assisting the bookkeeping team, as needed

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

Required Experiences & Skills

  • PC literate
  • Typing 50+ wpm
  • Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently for data entry tasks
  • High attention to detail
  • 1+ years working with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Able to communicate effectively and professionally, orally and in writing

Accounting and / or full-cycle payroll experience is a plus.

​This is NOT a remote position.

Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
