We are a growing, modern accounting firm serving small businesses and service-based companies. We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist / Staff Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and is committed to accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

• Process payroll for multiple clients using Gusto
• Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations
• Manage payroll tax filings, reconciliations, and issue resolution
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries related to payroll
• Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations
• Assist with financial statement preparation and client reporting
• Support bookkeeping and accounting functions using QuickBooks Online
• Communicate directly with clients regarding payroll and accounting matters

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
• 2+ years of payroll and/or accounting experience
• Hands-on experience with Gusto and QuickBooks Online
• Strong understanding of payroll compliance and accounting fundamentals
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
